Paul's Life and Letters

As Paul encouraged the Church in Corinth to run the race in order to win the prize Pauls Life and Letters spur us on to win our own race. In 1 Corinthians 9 He said “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run is such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Over three courses we journey with Paul on his missionary journeys, gaining insight into how he ran his own race, the hardships and persecution he suffered that eventually led to his imprisonment and death.

Pauls Life and Letters Book 1 – Early Life and First Missionary Journey, allows us to understand the time of his birth, early life, his calling and conversion and preparation as an apostle leading to his first missionary journey and his letter to the Galatians and what it means to us today.

Pauls Life and Letters Book 2 – Second Missionary Journey, centres on the journeys to the Northern Province of Macedonia and examine the letters to the Churches in Philippi, Thessalonica and Berea. Following on to the Southern Province of Achaia, and the Churches in Athens and Corinth.

Pauls Life and Letters Book 3 – Third Missionary journey, imprisonment and death, majors on the third missionary journey and the rest of his life with related letters. The study reviews the history of the Churches in Asia from the time Paul laboured there up to the time John wrote Revelation to them, his imprisonment and eventual martyrdom.
